Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC added 1.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which rose 4.64% or 8.350 points to trade at 187.650 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) added 5.15% or 0.650 points to end at 13.140 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 4.95% or 1.69 points to 35.94 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which lost 0.96% or 0.210 points to trade at 21.640 in late trade. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) declined 0.95% or 0.360 points to end at 37.700 and Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA) shed 1.02% or 0.260 points to 25.350.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 61 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 1.20% or 13.90 to $1139.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.58% or 0.60 to hit $38.84 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.33% or 0.14 to trade at $42.83 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.00% to 17.2005, while EUR/MXN fell 0.95% to 19.7940.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.58% at 93.92.
