Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Tourism, Sports and Electricity sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE), which rose 19.67% or 0.120 points to trade at 0.730 at the close. Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) added 19.05% or 0.120 points to end at 0.750 and Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) was up 12.75% or 1.17 points to 10.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestel (IS:VESTL), which lost 3.47% or 0.210 points to trade at 5.850 in late trade. Sise Cam (IS:SISE) declined 3.40% or 0.110 points to end at 3.130 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) shed 2.66% or 0.110 points to 4.030.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 292 to 76 and 38 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was down 0.64% or 8.55 to $1322.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.88% or 0.84 to hit $43.91 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.86% or 0.86 to trade at $45.34 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.22% to 3.0614, while EUR/TRY fell 0.80% to 3.3564.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.62% at 97.54.
