Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Software & Computer Services, Materials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 1.87% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OSLO:DETNOR), which rose 0.02% or 0.01 points to trade at 45.80 at the close. Bw Lpg (OSLO:BWLPG) fell 0.08% or 0.05 points to end at 62.50 and TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OSLO:TGS) was down 0.24% or 0.4 points to 168.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA), which lost 9.17% or 5.50 points to trade at 54.50 in late trade. Storebrand ASA (OSLO:STB) declined 5.91% or 2.00 points to end at 31.85 and Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OSLO:GOGLT) shed 4.55% or 1.50 points to 31.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 125 to 57 and 4 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 3.87% or 1.74 to $43.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.90% or 1.48 to hit $49.54 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.40% or 4.40 to trade at $1108.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 1.12% to 9.1362, while USD/NOK rose 0.84% to 8.2684.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 97.21.
