Benzinga - Renowned actor William Shatner, famously known for his role as Captain Kirk in Star Trek, on Thursday made bold predictions about cryptocurrency’s future.
What Happened: Speaking at the Consensus 2023 event, he suggested that by the time humanity reaches the Star Trek era, crypto assets would hold significant value. “It’ll be so many thousands of dollars in value," he said.
Notably, Shatner did not mention any particular cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) or Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH).
Although he himself does not invest in crypto, Shatner acknowledged its value to others, remarking that “It’s nothing! But it’s valuable. It’s what you think it is. If enough people think it’s something, then it is."
