The British-American comedian is known for digging deep into obscure topics that mainstream media avoids. John Oliver detailed the collapses of FTX, Celsius and Terra that occurred last year. Talking about crypto in general, John said that this is space that is meant to attract scammers as the value of any project depends on the confidence people put in them. Any space that depends on the confidence of people is sure to attract scammers, the Last Week Tonight host said. John Oliver mocked Terra and its concept of algorithmic stablecoin that was meant to doom from the start. John Oliver also mocked CNBC host Jim Cramer for his failed predictions.
