Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 3.13% or 60.0 points to trade at 1975.0 at the close. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) added 2.84% or 440.0 points to end at 15960.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 2.60% or 35.0 points to 1380.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 6.88% or 150.0 points to trade at 2030.0 in late trade. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) declined 1.11% or 40.0 points to end at 3550.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) shed 0.55% or 10.0 points to 1820.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 10 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 3.00% or 3.88 to $133.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 2.56% or 77.50 to hit $3106.50 , while the April Gold contract rose 2.25% or 27.70 to trade at $1257.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.68% to 3073.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.02% to 843.03.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.93% at 94.81.
