Oil Stockpiles Fell 7.25 Million Barrels Last Week: EIA

Investing.com -- U.S. oil stockpiles fell more than expected in the latest week, the Energy Information Administration said on Thursday.

Crude inventories declined by 7.258 million barrels last week, compared with analysts' expectations for a draw of 2.43 million barrels.

Distillate stockpiles, which include diesel and heating oil, fell 3.42 million barrels in the week against expectations for a decline of 1.57 million barrels, the EIA data showed.

Refinery crude runs were 26,000 barrels. The weekly refinery utilization rate was 0.1%, according to the EIA report.

Gasoline inventories increased 672,000 barrels last week the EIA said, compared with expectations for a build of 1.379 million barrels.
