On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for March delivery traded at USD2.824 per million British thermal units at time of writing falling 3.78%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD2.792 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD2.792 and resistance at USD2.967.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.25% to trade at USD94.50.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for March delivery fell 2.92% to trade at USD44.88 a barrel while Heating oil for March delivery fell 1.73% to trade at USD1.6118 per gallon.
