Investing.com - Natural gas futures were lower in U.S. trade on Wednesday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for February delivery traded at USD2.901 per million British thermal units at time of writing falling 1.24%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD2.881 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD2.805 and resistance at USD3.176.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.47% to trade at USD92.30.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for February delivery rose 1.06% to trade at USD48.44 a barrel while Heating oil for February delivery fell 2.42% to trade at USD1.6844 per gallon.
