Investing.com - Natural gas futures were higher in U.S. trade on Thursday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Natural gas futures for February delivery traded at USD2.938 per million British thermal units at time of writing rising 2.35%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD2.953 per million British thermal units. Natural gas was likely to find support at USD2.811 and resistance at USD3.176.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.40% to trade at USD92.58.
Elsewhere on the Nymex, Crude oil for February delivery fell 1.27% to trade at USD48.03 a barrel while Heating oil for February delivery fell 0.66% to trade at USD1.6886 per gallon.
