Investing.com - Gold futures were lower in European trade on Friday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for August delivery traded at USD1311.10 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.44%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1308.90 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1292.60 and resistance at USD1340.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.01% to trade at USD80.59.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for September delivery fell 0.70% to trade at USD20.987 a troy ounce while Copper for September delivery fell 0.58% to trade at USD3.202 a pound.
