Investing.com - Gold futures were lower in European trade on Friday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1222.50 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.23%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1217.70 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1183.30 and resistance at USD1234.00.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.19% to trade at USD85.82.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery fell 0.75% to trade at USD17.288 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery fell 1.07% to trade at USD2.998 a pound.
