On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1285.90 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.35%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1284.40 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1275.00 and resistance at USD1297.60.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.04% to trade at USD82.49.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery fell 0.49% to trade at USD19.513 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery rose 0.40% to trade at USD3.163 a pound.
