Investing.com - Gold futures were lower in Asian trade on Friday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1202.30 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.21%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1199.40 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1178.60 and resistance at USD1219.50.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.06% to trade at USD97.61.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.48% to trade at USD17.057 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery fell 0.98% to trade at USD2.783 a pound.
