On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1222.00 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.27%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1221.10 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1183.30 and resistance at USD1234.00.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.07% to trade at USD85.60.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery fell 0.69% to trade at USD17.298 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery fell 0.58% to trade at USD3.015 a pound.
