On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1306.10 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.06%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1303.50 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1289.40 and resistance at USD1313.30.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.08% to trade at USD81.09.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for September delivery fell 0.24% to trade at USD20.587 a troy ounce while Copper for September delivery rose 0.13% to trade at USD3.245 a pound.
