On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1264.60 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.01%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1256.80 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1252.10 and resistance at USD1286.60.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.90% to trade at USD93.73.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for March delivery fell 0.85% to trade at USD17.248 a troy ounce while Copper for March delivery rose 0.24% to trade at USD2.597 a pound.
