On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1214.20 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.11%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1209.20 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1204.30 and resistance at USD1223.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.44% to trade at USD85.62.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery fell 1.11% to trade at USD17.068 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery fell 0.90% to trade at USD3.009 a pound.
