On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1211.80 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.57%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1205.00 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1205.00 and resistance at USD1232.70.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.34% to trade at USD86.04.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery fell 2.76% to trade at USD17.083 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery fell 1.53% to trade at USD3.010 a pound.
