On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1276.80 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 1.42%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1274.20 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1274.20 and resistance at USD1304.90.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.09% to trade at USD82.21.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for September delivery fell 0.30% to trade at USD19.438 a troy ounce while Copper for September delivery rose 0.00% to trade at USD3.177 a pound.
