Investing.com - Gold futures were higher during the U.S. session on Thursday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for December delivery traded at USD1227.20 a troy ounce at time of writing rising 0.70%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD1228.50 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1216.60 and resistance at USD1243.20.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.37% to trade at USD84.44.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for December delivery rose 0.99% to trade at USD18.548 a troy ounce while Copper for December delivery fell 1.53% to trade at USD3.095 a pound.
