On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for September delivery traded at USD45.16 a barrel at time of writing falling 1.28%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD44.85 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD44.85 and resistance at USD48.62.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.04% to trade at USD98.00.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery fell 0.66% to trade at USD49.66 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD4.5 a barrel.
