On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for September delivery traded at USD97.47 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.72%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD97.10 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD97.10 and resistance at USD102.10.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.06% to trade at USD81.59.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery fell 0.35% to trade at USD105.65 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD8.18 a barrel.
