On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for February delivery traded at USD48.53 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.52%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD48.48 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD46.83 and resistance at USD52.73.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.19% to trade at USD92.36.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for February delivery fell 0.95% to trade at USD50.48 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD1.95 a barrel.
