On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for September delivery traded at USD97.92 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.25%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD97.61 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD97.60 and resistance at USD102.10.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.02% to trade at USD81.56.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for September delivery fell 0.06% to trade at USD105.86 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD7.94 a barrel.
