On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for March delivery traded at USD51.09 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.24%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD51.03 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD43.58 and resistance at USD54.24.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.02% to trade at USD94.31.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for April delivery fell 0.31% to trade at USD59.14 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD8.05 a barrel.
