Investing.com - Crude oil futures were lower during the Asian session on Thursday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for February delivery traded at USD48.13 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.71%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD48.08 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD44.20 and resistance at USD49.09.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.05% to trade at USD92.35.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for March delivery fell 0.93% to trade at USD49.38 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD1.25 a barrel.
