On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for December delivery traded at USD81.89 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.38%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD81.79 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD79.44 and resistance at USD82.88.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.09% to trade at USD86.16.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for December delivery fell 0.02% to trade at USD86.97 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD5.08 a barrel.
