Investing.com - Crude oil futures were lower during the Asian session on Tuesday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for September delivery traded at USD97.81 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.28%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD97.78 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD96.55 and resistance at USD98.58.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.11% to trade at USD81.60.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for October delivery fell 0.06% to trade at USD105.22 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD7.41 a barrel.
