Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher in European trading hours on Friday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for February delivery traded at USD55.19 a barrel at time of writing rising 1.53%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD55.63 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD53.94 and resistance at USD59.27.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.19% to trade at USD89.62.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for February delivery rose 1.34% to trade at USD60.06 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD4.87 a barrel.
