Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher in Asian trading hours on Friday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for November delivery traded at USD83.12 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.51%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD83.52 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD79.78 and resistance at USD85.87.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.03% to trade at USD85.05.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for December delivery rose 0.73% to trade at USD86.38 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD3.26 a barrel.
