On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for March delivery traded at USD45.26 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.23%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD45.28 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD44.35 and resistance at USD49.09.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.06% to trade at USD95.22.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for March delivery rose 0.35% to trade at USD48.31 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD3.05 a barrel.
