Investing.com - Crude oil futures were higher during the Asian session on Thursday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for February delivery traded at USD56.91 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.22%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD57.22 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD53.94 and resistance at USD59.27.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.15% to trade at USD89.14.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for February delivery rose 1.12% to trade at USD61.38 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD4.47 a barrel.
