On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for December delivery traded at USD78.38 a barrel at time of writing rising 0.51%.
Earlier, it traded at a session high USD78.41 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD78.08 and resistance at USD82.09.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.21% to trade at USD87.28.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for December delivery rose 0.42% to trade at USD84.41 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD6.03 a barrel.
