Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.62% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 2.00% or 25.0 points to trade at 1275.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 1.09% or 120.0 points to end at 11080.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 1.05% or 100.0 points to 9600.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which lost 2.93% or 55.0 points to trade at 1820.0 in late trade. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) declined 2.68% or 700.0 points to end at 25400.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) shed 2.38% or 30.0 points to 1230.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 9 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.08% or 3.15 to $148.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.32% or 9.00 to hit $2771.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.45 to trade at $1315.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.71% to 2931.17, while BRL/COP rose 3.50% to 915.19.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 95.62.
