Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 1.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 2.46% or 220 points to trade at 9180 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 2.44% or 225 points to end at 9455 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 1.06% or 2.9 points to 276.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems (CO:VWS), which lost 3.17% or 14.3 points to trade at 436.6 in late trade. William Demant Holding (CO:WDH) declined 2.79% or 19.5 points to end at 679.0 and Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) shed 2.66% or 23.0 points to 843.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 50 and 15 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.98% or 0.84 to $43.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.02% or 0.89 to hit $44.92 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1255.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.27% to 6.5697, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4413.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.28.
