Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 2.35% or 310 points to trade at 13520 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.46% or 55 points to end at 3815 and Nice (TA:NICE) was up 1.02% or 230 points to 22710 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 3.44% or 2510 points to trade at 70500 in late trade. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) declined 3.42% or 7.8 points to end at 220.0 and Azrieli Group (TA:AZRG) shed 3.39% or 500 points to 14250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 180 to 153 and 121 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.69% or 1.38 to $35.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.70% or 1.04 to hit $37.69 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.23% or 13.10 to trade at $1074.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.26% to 3.8843, while EUR/ILS rose 0.36% to 4.2500.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 98.20.
