Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Agriculture & Food and Industrial Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance (SE:8200), which rose 4.69% or 0.30 points to trade at 6.70 at the close. Arriyadh Development Co. (SE:4150) added 3.78% or 0.80 points to end at 21.95 and Alujain Corporation (SE:2170) was up 3.61% or 0.50 points to 14.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180), which lost 4.29% or 1.80 points to trade at 40.20 in late trade. Herfy Food Services Co (SE:6002) declined 3.16% or 2.50 points to end at 76.50 and National Gypsum Company (SE:2090) shed 3.15% or 0.45 points to 13.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 99 to 46 and 25 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.56% or 0.71 to $44.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.11% or 0.52 to hit $46.14 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.11% or 14.75 to trade at $1317.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.27% to 4.1225, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 97.28.
