Michael is Chief Market Analyst at CMC Markets, based in London. He holds over 20 years’ worth of experience of trading the markets, and specialises in technical analysis. Respected for his candid and direct commentary on what is going on in the markets, Michael is a regular face on both financial and mainstream TV; appearing regularly on Bloomberg, CNBC, BBC, CNN, Fox Business, and several outlets throughout the UK, North America and the Middle East.
 
Michael’s background is in foreign exchange trading. Before joining CMC Markets, he spent over twelve years working with market data, delivering education and support functions to diverse audiences - from experienced traders and private investors, to corporate and retail clients.

Michael has delivered seminars on the subject of trading and technical analysis at the World Money Show, London Business School, London Stock Exchange and a number of business schools throughout the country. He holds an MSTA from the UK Society of Technical Analysts (STA) and also a CFTe from the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA). Michael is also the winner of the 2013 Dow Jones FX Frenzy Global Championship which included traders and strategists from across the Americas, Asia and Europe.
