Biography Tom Fanter leads the RMB Research Core team which operates as a central equity research resource to portfolio teams across RMB Asset Management and the RMB Investment Committee as well as to RMB Wealth Management. Tom is a member of the RMB Investment Committee responsible for setting asset allocation recommendations and overseeing investment operations across RMB's equity, fixed income, real return, and absolute return strategies. Within the Research Core, Tom also acts as a Senior Equity Analyst, responsible for the Information Technology and Communications Services sectors. In this capacity, he guides portfolio decision-making in the areas of Technology software, services, and hardware. Tom joined IronBridge Capital Management, which merged with RMB Capital in 2017, as an Equity Analyst in 2004 and served as a Co-Portfolio Manager on the Small Cap Core and SMID Cap Core equity strategies from 2011-2017 before taking on the Director of Research role. Earlier in his career, Tom worked as a software engineering and software product manager for companies including Motorola and Microsoft. Tom graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences and earned an MBA with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
