Investment Strategy

The investment seeks to provide total return, comprised of capital appreciation and income. The fund will invest at least 80% of its assets (net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities. The advisor intends to invest in higher dividend-yielding equity securities. It is not limited in the percentage of assets it may invest in securities listed, traded or dealt in any one country, region or geographic area and it may invest in a number of countries throughout the world, including emerging markets. The fund may invest in a variety of investment vehicles.

Biography Farhan Sharaff has served as a Portfolio Manager for each Fund since 2017. Prior to joining DNB Asset Management, Ole Jakob was a manager of Guggenheim Partners for seven years. Before that he was the CEO of Alfred Berg Aktiv Forvaltning for many years. Ole Jakob is a Civil Economist from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). Mr. Wold earned a “Siviløkonom” (civil economics) degree from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in 1994. Biography Nardin Baker, CFA, Portfolio Manager of Security Investors and Chief Strategist of the Global Alpha Equity team of Guggenheim Partners. Mr. Baker has been managing assets since 1988 and joined Guggenheim Partners in 2010. He oversees all portfolio management functions and is actively involved in research, model development and product development. Mr. Baker is a well known expert in the field of multi-factor analysis. He researched and developed the theory behind the quantitative investment model together with Prof. Robert Haugen. Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners, Mr. Baker was CIO and portfolio manager of South Street Investment Advisors and CIO for non-US developed markets at Batterymarch Financial Management. Biography Dellapa joined Rydex Investments in 2000 as a research analyst and was promoted to portfolio manager in 2003. In 2005, Dellapa became director of investment research and in 2007 became the director of Alternative Investment Strategies. Prior to joining Rydex Advisors, LLC, Mr. Dellapa worked as an equity analyst for Invista Capital and systems analyst for Accenture. He holds an engineering degree from the University of Maryland and MBA from the University of Chicago. Biography Michael P. Byrum, CFA, Senior Vice President—Mr. Byrum has been associated with the Security Investors since 1993. Mr. Byrum was the inaugural portfolio manager for many of the Rydex products, including the Rydex leveraged and inverse funds, sector fund lineup and alternative investment portfolios. Today, Mr. Byrum continues to play an instrumental role in product development and investment strategy at Guggenheim Investments and oversees the trading, research and portfolio management activities of the quantitative strategies team, which focuses on target beta, alternative and asset allocation strategies. He is the chairman of the Investment Strategy Committee and is a member of the Risk Management Committee and Credit Review Committee.
