German Factory Orders reports the change in new purchase orders (in value terms) placed with manufacturers across Germany. It is a leading indicator of manufacturing production.

A reading that is stronger than forecast is generally supportive (bullish) for the EUR, while a weaker than forecast reading is generally negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Once more a demonstration of just how biased this site to the EU 27. Any UK statistic which is even mildly under expectation gets headlines but when German factory orders plummet not one word is written about it. Shame on you.
