The Business and Consumer Survey is a composite index which reports the level of confidence amongst both consumers and businesses throughout the euro zone. The index includes the results of five different indicator surveys administered on a monthly basis, These include the industrial, services, consumer, retail, and construction sectors. The survey helps project activity within both consumer and business spending in the euro zone.

A reading that is stronger than forecast is generally supportive (bullish) for the EUR, while a weaker than forecast reading is generally negative (bearish) for the EUR.
