MARKETS
Markets: United States 10-Year yields finished the week higher as expectations of accelerated tightening from the US Federal Reserve were stoked by hawkish comments from board member Lael Brainard. As a result, stocks finished the week lower and prevailing US dollar strength weighed on the major currency pairs. The risk-off mood also saw the likes of Bitcoin and Ethereum down 8% and 7% respectively.

M&A and Private Equity
Blackstone (NYSE:BX) is considering a $17bn bid for Atlantia SpA (MI:ATL), an Italian infrastructure company.
HDFC Bank, India's largest bank has agreed to buy Housing Development Finance in a blockbuster $60bn deal - HDF is India's largest mortgage lender.
KKR (NYSE:KKR), has raised more than $6.6bn for its latest European buyout fund while Apollo Hybrid Value has raised $4.6bn for its second flagship fund.
JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ:JBLU) has offered to buy Spirit Airlines (NYSE:SAVE) in a surprise $3.6bn deal.
Venture Capital and IPO
Binance.US, has raised a $200m seed round at a $4.5bn valuation led by RRE Ventures, VanEck and others.
Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, has raised $6.1bbn in a blockbuster $33bn IPO, the biggest in EMEA since 2019.
VerSe Innovation, the parent company of Dailyhunt and Josh has raised a fresh $805m Series J round at a $5bn valuation led by CPP Investments.
Shein, a Chinese fast fashion e-commerce company is seeking to raise $1bn in new funding at a $100bn valuation.
