Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL) the second and third biggest companies in the U.S providing amazing opportunities for short-term traders all over the globe.
With a market value of just over $1.5 Trillion, those two giants can cause an even higher market volatility after disappointing reports.
Amazon is down almost 8% in after-market trading. Amazon reported revenue of $56.6 billion vs $57.1. Even though its profit was higher than expected, for a growing technology company, revenue is more important than profit.
Google is down 4% in after hour trading for the same reason. It missed its revenue number but beat its profit target.
Revenue is a better indicator than profit for a growing company, especially if its leveraged with investor stock money.
