Proactive Investors - Wise PLC (LON:WISEa) has announced the appointment of Delivery Hero’s Emmanuel Thomassin as its chief financial officer.
Thomassin will join the foreign exchange financial technology firm in October, replacing Matthew Briers in the role.
He currently serves as Delivery Hero (ETR:DHER)'s chief financial officer, having held the role for a decade since shortly after the firm was founded in 2011.
“Emmanuel has a proven track record of scaling companies in rapidly evolving industries - from startups to public companies,” chair David Wells commented.
“I look forward to working with him as Wise continues on its path to reshape global financial services for the 21st century.”
Kristo Käärmann added that Thomassin would aid the company in its bid to roll out foreign exchange technology globally to those still reliant on the “slow, opaque, cumbersome and expensive legacy financial system”.
“Emmanuel's deep experience in leading teams while scaling a fast-growth company globally makes him the ideal candidate to take up this challenge and join us on our mission as we enter our second decade,” he said.
Matthew Briers has stepped down with immediate effect after announcing his departure last year, Wise said, with Kingsley Kemish taking over on an interim basis.
