LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's Serious Fraud Office said on Friday that it had charged two former executives of oilfield services provider Petrofac (LON:PFC), Marwan Chedid and George Salibi, with bribery.

The SFO alleges that they were involved in offering and paying agents over $30 million to influence the awarding of contracts worth about $3.3 billion in Petrofac's favour over a period from 2012 to 2018, the SFO said.

The two executives, who the SFO said had been based in the United Arab Emirates, are due to appear at London's Westminster Magistrates' Court on Feb. 19 to hear the charges against them, the statement added.
