Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which rose 21.09% or 1.78 points to trade at 10.22 at the close. Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR) added 7.56% or 0.090 points to end at 1.280 and Alarko Gmyo (IS:ALGYO) was up 6.67% or 1.55 points to 24.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which lost 3.73% or 0.260 points to trade at 6.710 in late trade. AvivaSA Emeklilik ve Hayat AS (IS:AVISA) declined 3.58% or 1.70 points to end at 45.80 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) shed 3.53% or 0.030 points to 0.820.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 259 to 143 and 14 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was down 0.03% or 0.30 to $1172.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.76% or 0.46 to hit $59.81 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.50% or 0.32 to trade at $63.17 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.84% to 2.6543, while EUR/TRY fell 0.92% to 2.9739.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 95.45.
