Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Real Estate Investments and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 3.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which rose 10.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 1.100 at the close. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 6.51% or 0.140 points to end at 2.290 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was up 3.08% or 0.200 points to 6.700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA), which lost 7.52% or 0.300 points to trade at 3.690 in late trade. Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi AS (IS:IZMDC) declined 6.64% or 0.160 points to end at 2.250 and GSD Holding AS (IS:GSDHO) shed 6.58% or 0.050 points to 0.710.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 298 to 66 and 40 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.08% or 1.00 to $1300.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.57% or 1.07 to hit $67.14 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.24% or 0.19 to trade at $77.91 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.81% to 4.5458, while EUR/TRY rose 1.95% to 5.3111.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 94.07.
