Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Banking and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD), which rose 8.50% or 0.630 points to trade at 8.040 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) added 3.93% or 1.00 points to end at 26.46 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was up 3.79% or 0.050 points to 1.370 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kartonsan (IS:KARTN), which lost 3.23% or 10.50 points to trade at 314.50 in late trade. Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS Class A (IS:ALCTL) declined 3.13% or 0.270 points to end at 8.350 and Dogan Holding (IS:DOHOL) shed 2.90% or 0.020 points to 0.670.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 187 to 158 and 60 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.19% or 2.25 to $1200.95 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.97% or 0.48 to hit $48.80 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.07% or 0.56 to trade at $51.63 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.90% to 3.7402, while EUR/TRY fell 0.22% to 3.9863.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 101.50.
